Skyline Inaugural Vada Murray Benefit Game

Come support the Vada Murray Fund for Cancer Research by attending a Men vs. Women Lacrosse Game on Friday, May 3 at Pioneer and Skyline High Schools.  

The Pioneer game begins at 6:00 p.m. and the Skyline game (Varsity) begins at 7:00  p.m. in the schools’ stadiums.  Tickets are $5 and benefit the Vada Murray Fund for Cancer Research.  

Vada Murray, a former Michigan football player and a longtime Ann Arbor police officer, died April 6, 2011, at age 43 of lung cancer. 

Ann Arbor Police Chief John Seto and Vada Murray's wife, Sarah Murray, will be present to kick off each game.  Players will exchange sticks at midfield before the game and play women's lacrosse rules.  This is the only High School game (in America) where Men's & Women's teams compete with each other.  CTN will be filming at both games!

Sarah Murray & Chief John Seto (AAPD) will be interviewed on WTKA (1050 AM) morning show 'the Michigan Insider (with Ira Weintraub & Sam Webb) next Tuesday (4/30) at 8:05 AM and then on WLBY's (1290 AM) the Lucy Ann Lance show at 8:40 AM.

The Vada Murray Fund for Cancer Research presents UM-OSU football on the big screen. Doors open at 11 AM. Watch the epic battle live as the Vada Murray Fund for Cancer Research hosts its first annual Tailgate Party to raise funds for cancer research. Free admission; suggested donation levels.

Watch the game in style - there will be complimentary food, beverages for purchase (Beer, Wine, Alcohol, Pop, Water), games, auction items, sports memorabilia, and raffles.

Bring the family- it's cheaper than a sitter! There will be supervised kids activities and movies in the attached screening room.
